The days of the bait and switch are over. Now Credit card companies need to keep the promotional rates open for six months before they can change the rate.

Credit card companies can not increase the rate during the first 12 months of a cycle.

Credit card companies are to now give a 45 day notice on any changes to a person rate. These are small steps in the right direction. We shall see how they work out.
